CARCOAR VILLAGE FAIR RESCHEDULED FOR 2023
Due to the impact of the 2021 lockdowns on the ability to conduct planning and the ongoing risks associated with COVID19, the Carcoar Village Fair on Australia Day will not be going ahead on 26 January 2022.

This is the second year running the event has not been able to be held due to COVID impacts, and organisers are very much hoping for a bigger and brighter event in 2023.

“We know this is once again disappointing news for our residents and visitors.” says Tim Hansen, President of the Carcoar Village Association, “however as a small village community we have a responsibility to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone is taken into account.

“It also takes over six months of planning with a voluntary committee to help make the Carcoar Village Fair happen, and unfortunately it was not possible for the committee to meet during crucial planning months due to the 2021 lockdowns in our region and state in the second half of last year.”

No official activities, entertainment or re-enactment performances for Australia Day will be hosted in Carcoar on 26 January 2022, however the village will very much be open for business and welcomes all visitors.

“Bring a picnic basket and your family, sit down by the Belubula River and soak up the fresh country air. Our shops will be open and we just ask for visitors to be mindful that we are a small village with limited facilities and to be patient and follow safe practices and distancing while you’re here,” adds Mr Hansen..

It is strongly recommended to book ahead if you would like to dine or drink at the local pub as a small group. Please call the Royal Hotel Carcoar on 02 6367 3009 well in advance to make your reservation.
