Carcoar & Millthorpe Bridge the Gap

The date has finally been set with the official opening of the new bridge on Carcoar road scheduled for Monday December 2nd at 11am. The bridge work was the number one issue raised at the last "Our Carcoar" workshop so many locals will be pleased by the reopening. The road is the direct link between Carcoar and Millthorpe and has been closed for a considerable amount of time due to the dangerous state of the old bridge. It is hoped that the the road will be upgraded in the future to allow it to be used as a tourist route between the historic villages. Please keep in mind that if you are interested in attending the opening that there will be limited parking so best to car pool.
