Carcoar... Halfway to Everywhere!

Carcoar is midway between three major centres, Cowra, Bathurst and Orange making it the perfect place to base your stay whilst exploring this stunning region. Treat yourself to a cosy bed in a typical country pub or a good old-fashioned Bed and Breakfast. Enjoy the relaxed pace of village life, experience the great outdoors with a tramp over rolling hills, a stroll down a country lane, a swim or sail in the picturesque Carcoar Dam or a game of cricket in our beautiful showground.

Want to go further afield? Cowra's tranquil Japanese Gardens, Mt Panorama with the high octane of the Bathurst race, the gastronomic delights of the Taste Orange Festival and the world renowned Canowindra ballooning championships are only a stone's throw away. There truly is something for everyone to enjoy all year round. Why not plan your visit to coincide with our own special events like the Carcoar Cup Running Festival, The Carcoar Show or The Australia Day Fair. Just remember to book early as these events attract a lot of visitors. After a full day’s sightseeing, enjoy a drink in front of a cosy fire or on the verandah watching the fading sunlight transform the landscape with lengthening shadows.
